Seasoned businessman Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny serves on the board of several prominent companies operating in an array of different industries. He is perhaps best known as the director of a private bank that was established by his father, the politician and veteran business leader Mr Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu.
Education
Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny’s early childhood was relatively modest, growing up in a small town in Bangladesh. Although his family may have been of modest means in those early days, his drive, determination and dreams were limitless. Mr Chowdhury Ronny’s family instilled in him from an early age the importance of pursuing his education with fervour. He was fortunate enough to attend Sherbourne School in Dorset, one of the most prestigious schools in England. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny then went on to study at Palm Beach Atlantic College in Florida, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Career
Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny embarked on what turned out to be an extraordinarily successful career in business simultaneously with his university studies. While studying at Palm Beach Atlantic College, he began dabbling with various business ventures, one of which was a technology start-up that went on to achieve considerable success. Mr Chowdhury Ronny cites these formative years in business as teaching him many valuable lessons, providing a strong foundation for commercial success.
In addition to serving as a director of a private bank founded by his father, Anisuzzaman Chowdhury Ronny serves as chairman of three companies, the publicly listed Navana Pharmaceuticals, Anowara Construction Ltd and Gas One.
